On Thursday 3/12 and Friday 3/13 the 5th grade students were given a check list of review work to complete while at home. If your child was either absent or forgot something at school, we have compiled the work to also be available via PDFs. If needed, your child may print off the attached documents or copy the work onto other paper to complete.

5th Grade was working on the following units before PWCS closed:
Math: Algebra
Science: Finishing Sound/Starting Light
Social Studies - Southwest Region
Writing - Informational Essays (animal essays)
Reading - Figurative Language

We have also compiled some other resources for your child to use to stay busy and to promote their continued learning while at they are home.

In order to access these materials, click on the "files and documents" tab on the left. When new materials are added, you will receive an email.

Students are also encouraged to check their school email on a regular basis! I will be emailing them to check in. :)

If you have any questions about these assignments, I will be available via email. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work through this process together!

 Homework

Every student should be reading 20-30 minutes each night. They can read books, magazines, etc. of their choice, and can read out loud to someone, or independently. The more practice they have, the better reader they will become! (Hint: Studying notes for tests can also count as time for reading!)

Any work not finished during the school day will be sent home to finish for homework. Please check with your child to make sure they are caught up with all of their school work! Thank you!

Important Dates:

Supplies
Please check in with your student to see if there are any supplies that they need. I try my best to keep up with their needs with what I have in the classroom, but appreciate all that you can supply! Thank you!
